Our Purpose

Operation Future
The SFF exists to accelerate SEALs’ transitions into civilian life in a manner that harnesses and builds upon their unique strengths and capabilities.

Navy SEALs are among the most highly trained professionals in the world, serving as paragons of leadership, teamwork, resolution, and focus. As individuals who excel under extreme conditions, executing tasks with outcomes that are measured in life and freedom, their qualities are invaluable to any organization.

The SFF is focused on ensuring that these individuals and their capabilities are not lost in the posterity of duty. From educational scholarships to job placement and networking opportunities, the SFF provides SEALs with countless pathways to success within the communities they fought so hard to protect.

In times of war or uncertainty there is a special breed of warrior ready to answer our Nation’s call. A common man with uncommon desire to succeed.

Forged by adversity, he stands alongside America’s finest special operations forces to serve his country, the American people, and protect their way of life.

I am that man.

My Trident is a symbol of honor and heritage. Bestowed upon me by the heroes that have gone before, it embodies the trust of those I have sworn to protect. By wearing the Trident I accept the responsibility of my chosen profession and way of life. It is a privilege that I must earn every day.

My loyalty to Country and Team is beyond reproach. I humbly serve as a guardian to my fellow Americans always ready to defend those who are unable to defend themselves. I do not advertise the nature of my work, nor seek recognition for my actions. I voluntarily accept the inherent hazards of my profession, placing the welfare and security of others before my own.

I serve with honor on and off the battlefield. The ability to control my emotions and my actions, regardless of circumstance, sets me apart from other men.

Uncompromising integrity is my standard. My character and honor are steadfast. My word is my bond.

We expect to lead and be led. In the absence of orders I will take charge, lead my teammates and accomplish the mission. I lead by example in all situations.

I will never quit. I persevere and thrive on adversity. My Nation expects me to be physically harder and mentally stronger than my enemies. If knocked down, I will get back up, every time. I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect my teammates and to accomplish our mission. I am never out of the fight.

We demand discipline. We expect innovation. The lives of my teammates and the success of our mission depend on me – my technical skill, tactical proficiency, and attention to detail. My training is never complete.

We train for war and fight to win. I stand ready to bring the full spectrum of combat power to bear in order to achieve my mission and the goals established by my country. The execution of my duties will be swift and violent when required yet guided by the very principles that I serve to defend.

Brave men have fought and died building the proud tradition and feared reputation that I am bound to uphold. In the worst of conditions, the legacy of my teammates steadies my resolve and silently guides my every deed.

I will not fail.

Our Key Role

Financial Security

The SFF was created in response to the lack of support for continuing education and career development for active and veteran Navy SEALs. High tuitions, limited financial resources and lack of access to professional networks combine to prevent these exceptional individuals from reaching their full potential in civilian life.

The SFF focuses its resources on career development and educational opportunities by partnering with academic institutions, corporations and individuals. Under this model we are able to support each accepted applicant regardless of his stage of post-military life, whether it is by providing a college scholarship, funding an internship, matching with a professional mentor or providing permanent job placement services. By helping to surmount these initial barriers, we can empower SEALs to excel in the civilian world just as they did in their military careers.

Strengthening Our Community

Being a TEAM wife is not like being married to a movie star. Most think it’s the most glamorous job in the military. Most think its exciting, breathtaking and just want to be a part of it. But they are wrong. These guys don’t do it for the glamour. These guys don’t do it for the recognition. They do it because they truly love their country and because they have an unwavering passion for freedom and what it really stands for. Just think about sleeping sound in your bed at night and being able to kiss every one of your kids good night and then going down the stairs to spend the rest of your evening with your loved one. Those are few and far between for these guys and their loved ones. These guys train and protect to make sure you can have that. They work all the time. They work when they are called. They work when there are threats. They work everyday to be ready to work. They are our silent warriors – Navy SEALs.

As a TEAM wife we love those warriors unconditionally. We have decided to also take the vow – to be a silent warrior’s partner. I myself have four children and my husband and I have been through boot camp, BUDs, numerous moves and deployments together. Life is tough and I worry all the time. Not just about my husband, but about my children, my little warriors, and how they will take the trips and deployments.

When I heard the idea of starting SEAL Future Fund I was blown away. The first thing that popped in my head was the fact that I am married to the smartest man I have ever met. My husband was a Navy SEAL for multiple years, got out and landed a job on Wall Street as a Trader for a Top 3 Investment Bank, received his MBA and then got back into the SEAL TEAMs. He could move the moon. He could talk to you for 5 minutes and you would want him as your best friend. He always figures things out and always has a plan. The one large obstacle we have is paying for his MBA. After all the countless hours my husband fought, trained and protected, he still has a hefty school loan to worry about. He carries that weight on his shoulders and in turn carries that into work. Having something like the SFF will not only help other guys with their MBA’s, but their bachelors degrees, their families schooling, or just the job placement. The Navy teaches them how to react in a war situation or how to jump out of a certain plane, but being in the work force and in civilian life? It’s a whole new ballgame.

I am honored to be such a huge part of the SEAL Future Fund just as much as I am honored to be the wife of an incredible silent warrior. I know this non-profit will move mountains and I know this will change the lives of so many. It definitely would for my family and myself!

Navy SEALs are the best, and so from a young age I knew that's where I wanted to be. But, it wasn't until after SEAL training, when an Instructor-turned-teammate handed me a beer and said "Welcome to what will go down in history as the most elite fighting force of the 21st century," that I realized the significance of what I had just accomplished.

My next eight years as a SEAL taught me how to work hard, solve problems and be a team player. More than that, I learned success is a state of mind, not a one time thing. It was through my experiences in such an elite unit that I gained the confidence to be successful in any other endeavor, and when I left the Navy I aimed for the highest levels.

I am now in my second year at an Ivy League University and have just accepted a summer internship in one of the most highly sought-after and competitive position available: JP Morgan's Investment Bank. Without a doubt, I owe every success I've had to my experiences as a Navy SEAL.

The SEAL Future Fund is an organization that not only supports veterans, but also gives some of the most talented and success-oriented men opportunities they wouldn't normally have. These men have abilities, not gained through the classroom or boardroom, but rather from having shouldered great responsibility while facing great adversity. They have the tools to be successful, and the SFF gives them the means. From all of us in the community, we thank you, and we promise: you will get your monies worth.
